Engagements
Three shapes, in descending order of commitment. Prices are published so you can qualify yourself before we speak.
| Fractional CDO | Diagnostic sprint | Advisory | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | I run your digital function. | I tell you what is actually wrong, with a plan and a number. | A senior read, on call. |
| Shape | 4–8 days a month, ongoing | 4–6 weeks, fixed fee | A few hours a month |
| You get | An owned P&L, a roadmap, a team being built, and someone in the room with your board. | A written assessment, a prioritised plan, and the business case for each item. | Judgment on decisions as they arise — platform selection, hires, vendor negotiations. |
| Minimum | Three months | One engagement | Six months |
| Indicative | From $8,000 / month | From $15,000 | From $2,500 / month |
The sprint
Four to six weeks is long enough to find the real problem and short enough that you are not committing to anything. You get a written assessment you own — whether or not we work together afterwards.
It also solves the honest objection to fractional help: you do not yet know whether you need it. A sprint answers that question at a fixed price, and a good one usually makes the next decision obvious.
Working rhythm
Whole days rather than scattered hours. Half on site where that matters, half remote. You know which days in advance.
We agree what I am accountable for in week one, and you get it every week — including the weeks it moves the wrong way.
Your people know things I do not. The first fortnight is mostly listening, and the plan is better for it.
Written assessments where writing is the right form. Otherwise the deliverable is the thing working.
Implementation, staff augmentation, or fixed-scope project delivery. If that is what you need, I will say so and point you at someone who does it well.
Fit
Consumer brands and retailers, roughly $20 million to $500 million in revenue, with a digital business that matters and no senior person owning it. Direct-to-consumer, wholesale, marketplace, or all three.
It works less well for pre-revenue businesses, for companies that already have a strong digital executive, and for anyone who wants a recommendation rather than an operator.
Next step
Thirty minutes, no deck. Tell me what isn't working and I'll tell you whether I'm the right person for it — and who is, if I'm not.
